Laura Wadsten

Ms. Wadsten is a correspondent and recent college graduate from Johns Hopkins University. There she earned her B.A. in Medicine, Science & the Humanities and minors in History, Africana Studies and Latin American Studies. While in college, she received a Hodson scholarship and the Louis Azrael Fellowship in Communications, and was Editor-in-Chief of the independent campus newspaper, The News-Letter.

Her internships at The Capitol Forum in 2020 and 2021 cemented her passion for reporting and sparked her desire to return full-time after completing her degree. Ms. Wadsten has also worked as a clinical research assistant at JH Wilmer Eye Institute, communications intern for the JH Disability Health Research Center and social services navigator for Spanish-speaking patients at JH Bayview Children’s.
