On Tuesday, December 9 at 1:00 p.m. ET, The Capitol Forum will host Dave Piscitello and Karen Rose of Interisle Consulting Group and Rick Lane, CEO of IGGY Ventures LLC, to discuss the domain name industry’s failure to curb an ongoing surge in cybercrime.
The conversation will focus on how cybercriminals are exploiting the global Domain Name System (DNS) to quickly and cheaply acquire the resources needed to conduct attacks targeting millions of consumers. We’ll also explore potential policies the administration, Congress, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), and domain name registrars and registry operators like Verisign could adopt to help mitigate DNS abuse.
