DOJ Launches Criminal Antitrust Probe into Claritev

DOJ’s antitrust division has launched a criminal price-fixing investigation into Claritev (CTEV), previously known as MultiPlan, a pricing intermediary that major health insurers use to set reimbursement rates for out-of-network medical claims, sources familiar with the matter said.
