Electronic Arts, Saudi-Led Consortium Grow Confident About Phase 1 Clearance in EC Foreign Subsidies Regulation Review

U.S. video game developer Electronic Arts (EA) and a consortium led by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund (PIF), are increasingly optimistic that the European Commission will clear their $55 billion deal after a phase 1 review under the bloc’s Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR), sources familiar with the matter said.
