Second Request: “Anti-Corruption as an Affordability Agenda” with Jeff Hauser

Thu, Nov 05, 2026 | 11:00 am ET

On Thursday, November 5 at 11:00 a.m. ET, The Capitol Forum will host a conference call with Jeff Hauser, executive director of the Revolving Door Project, as part of our Second Request series.

The discussion will explore the piece “Anti-Corruption as an Affordability Agenda“, published in Watchdog Weekly by the Revolving Door Project, and the organization’s research on how corporate and billionaire influence shapes media coverage of economic issues, judicial interpretations of the law, and policymaking by state constitutional officers. The conversation will also examine the argument that efforts to expose corruption under the Trump administration should explicitly connect these issues to voters’ concerns about the rising cost of living.

For assistance, contact: events@tcfpress.com.

The discussion topics will include:

  • The Revolving Door Project’s work monitoring the Trump administration
  • Identifying corporate villains in affordability politics
  • Preventing voters from viewing both parties as equally corrupt
  • The importance of addressing voters’ cost-of-living concerns through concrete policy action
