After a legal career filled with civil and voting rights cases, U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Cummings has moved into antitrust law in a big way. He’s presiding over the FTC’s suit to block GTCR’s proposed buyout of medical-device coatings maker Surmodics (SRDX) and private litigation against frozen potato product companies.
