Javier Espinoza Joins Capitol Forum as Europe Executive Editor to Lead Expansion of European Bureau

The Capitol Forum is excited to announce that Javier Espinoza has joined the company as Europe Executive Editor. Javier will oversee the expansion of The Capitol Forum’s European bureau, bringing with him a wealth of experience in business, economic, and regulatory reporting, along with deep expertise in EU affairs.

An award-winning journalist, Javier is a leading voice in Brussels regulatory coverage, aligning with The Capitol Forum’s mission to meet the growing demand for EU-focused insights. Javier’s distinguished career spans over 20 years in international journalism, with a particular focus on European policy, competition law, and private equity.

Prior to joining The Capitol Forum, he worked for more than 8 years at the Financial Times, where he held two core beats: first as Private Equity Correspondent for London, and later as the FT’s EU Correspondent covering competition and digital policy from Brussels. He was also part of the original team that launched the Financial Times’ Due Diligence newsletter in 2017, the FT’s popular daily briefing covering dealmaking and corporate finance.

Javier has contributed to some of the world’s most prominent media outlets, including the Daily Telegraph and the Wall Street Journal. His expertise spans across major industries, with a particular focus on the intersection of business, policy, and regulation in Europe.
