Absent General Dynamics Improvements, Pentagon Forecasts Year-Long Delay to Columbia-class Nuclear Submarine Program

The Navy is projecting a year-long delay to its No. 1 acquisition program, the Columbia-class ballistic missile submarine fleet, unless prime contractor General Dynamics Electric Boat (GD) makes significant performance improvements, two sources told The Capitol Forum.
