Makan Delrahim

Senior antitrust lawyer and former head of the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division. As Assistant Attorney General from 2017 to 2021, Makan Delrahim oversaw major merger reviews and enforcement actions across technology, telecommunications, and media markets.

He currently serves as Chief Legal Officer of Paramount Skydance Corporation, where he oversees the company’s global legal, regulatory, compliance, and public policy functions, including government relations. Prior to joining Paramount, Delrahim was a partner at Latham & Watkins, advising companies on complex mergers, antitrust investigations, and regulatory strategy.

Earlier in his career, Delrahim served as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy White House Counsel, where he played a key role in the confirmation process for Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. His career spans senior roles in government and private practice focused on competition law, regulatory policy, and high-stakes corporate transactions.
