Matt Probus

Mr. Probus is the Chief Technology Officer for The Capitol Forum. Prior to joining, Mr. Probus co-founded Skoolar.com, where he developed an app for college students to connect through class schedules, share experiences and showcase achievements to inspire others and attract employers. He previously helped grow Discovery Logic as Chief Technology Officer and served as General Manager following acquisition by Thomson Reuters, where he was recognized with the National Institutes of Health Directors’ Award for his work in bringing transparency to the outcomes of research funding.

Prior to Discovery Logic, Mr. Probus founded Enlitex to develop a corporate governance rating system in collaboration with GMIRatings.com, and led the technology departments of Thomson Financial’s Institutional Shareholder Services as CIO and its CDA/Wiesenberger mutual-fund performance tracking unit as Director of Engineering. Earlier in his career, he was the first employee to join the founder of GeoSystems, later renamed to Mapquest. Mr. Probus received his B.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.
