Universal Health Services: Sexual Assaults and Runaways Persist at South Carolina Facility Despite Federal Sanction

Last year, government inspectors placed multiple immediate jeopardies (IJs) on Three Rivers Behavioral Health, a psychiatric facility operated by Universal Health Services (UHS) in West Columbia, South Carolina, after finding the hospital had failed to protect two juvenile patients from being sexually assaulted by other patients.
